Sanford Health offers EMT courseFree Access

Sanford Health is offering a hybrid course for anyone in the region seeking to become an emergency medical technician (EMT). Registration is open and classes start Aug. 25.

“This is the perfect opportunity for anyone interested in serving with your local volunteer ambulance service, pursuing a career as a paramedic or gaining experience for applications to other health care professions such as medical school,” said Ron Lawler, Sanford Health EMS Education director. “Our EMT courses allow students to attend the weekly lectures online from the comfort of home. Labs are held in person in various locations, including Bismarck and Fargo in North Dakota and Thief River Falls in Minnesota.”

Classes run through Dec. 17. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, class size restrictions and additional labs have been added. Courses are usually held three times a year.
